Beef Haleem

Beef Haleem is very famous in Pakistan.and canbe eaten with spoon or served with naan.

  • 1 kg Beef boneless
  • 1 cup Oil     
  • 2 sliced Onion
  • ½ kg Haleem wheat
  • 1 ½ cup Gram lentil
  • 1 ½ cupBarley     
  • ¼ cup Oil for baghar
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp Chili powder
  • 3 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp Salt    
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric     
  • 2 tbsp Cumin roasted and crushed    
  • 2 tbsp All spice     
  • ¼ cup Chopped coriander leaves     
  • 20 Mint leaves
  • 4 Green chilies chopped    
  • 1tsp Chat masala
  • 2 Lemon     
  • ½ cup Brown onion     


Preparation Method:

First of all Soak wheat and barley together and gram lentil separately overnight .
Then next morning cook wheat and barley with 10 cups of water on low flame till tender
And boil gram lentil in 6 cups of water on low flame till tender
Then cool and blend all three together.
Now heat 1 cup oil add sliced onion fry till light golden then add ginger garlic paste, chili powder, coriander powder, salt,
turmeric and cuminand and cook for some time.
Then mash beef very well with hand blender.
Now mix mashed beef with blended wheat and gram mixture, and put to cook in a pan meshing very well by adding water.
Add all spice and chat masala and keep mashing very well, cook for at least half an hour.
At last stage heat ghee or oil ¼ cup and add 1 sliced onion, fry till light golden,give baghar on top of haleem in a serving bowl.
And garnish with chopped greens, ginger sliced and lemon.
