Ingredients:

  • Mash daal 1/2 kg
  • Tomatoes 250 gm
  • Finely chopped ginger 1
  • Onion 1
  • Green chilies 4
  • Garlic cloves 4
  • Butter 100 gm
  • Crushed red chilies 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds 1 tbsp
  • Cumin 2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp

Preparation Method:

  • Put turmeric in mash daal, boil it and close stove when tender.
  • Now heat oil in pot, fry onion until light pink, add green chilies, tomatoes, cumin, fenugreek seeds, red chilies and salt and roast it.
  • Then put in daal, mix it nicely and close stove.
  • For tarka heat butter, fry garlic cloves, put 2 tsp cumin and give tarka to daal.
